We are kind of in a dead cell phone reception area, but sometimes we get through. I wish it was b/c we were out in the boondocks, but we are just in a neighborhood that has a gulley we live in. It's still a beautiful place and we are very close to the ocean.

Thanks Mark or Taylor for updating the heading pic. We'll post pictures soon.

By the way, Emma came home and asked for a cell phone! What? She just turned six!

Taylor's Elders Quorum had a pinewood derby. Taylor entered the modified division and took 2nd place. He strapped a broken crank shaft from his motorcycle to the block of wood, and named it Iron Man as it weighted nearly 10 pounds. It was really funny watching him catch it at the end before it plowed over a kid.

For FHE we went and rode dirt bikes and 4 wheelers. All of our friends have girls, here is the line up. Chloe is the one on the far right.

"May Day" is a big holiday here, I think it is the equivalent of our "Labor Day" everybody used to take a whole week off for it, but it keeps getting less and less. Now most companies take 1 or 2 days off. My factory took one day off (a Thursday), so we went exploring. We found two different temples. The first one kind of toward the top of a mountain, and the other (more remote) amongst mountains covered in really tall bamboo trees-really beautiful. On our way to the second temple in the bamboo forest we just turned off the beaten path onto a really small trail that just took off into the jungle and straight up a mountain. Then we came back down. The bottom of our hike in the bamboo forrest. There is a little cottage in the back, and I have a sweet bamboo staff that I found and was a lot of help climbing up the mountain. A monk at this other temple in the middle of the bamboo forrest and Katelynn. They are in front of a big god there in the back.

This is a Buddihst temple we visited on "May Day" holiday. Kind of at the top of a mountain. There is a picture of the bathroom there, an old lady and her husband in his boxers. Then we hiked up a bamboo forrest mountain.

This is at a temple we found, they do these chants twice a day. In the morning it is to focus your chi, and at night it is to think about your actions during the day and to repent.
